In addition to being a writer and an interviewer of bestselling authors, I’m also a mom to two amazing kiddos, a creature of habit, a car-singer, a walker of dirt roads and wooded trails, a museum-lover, a fierce friend, and an accomplished daydreamer.

I penned my first book when I was 14 (a complete rip-off of The Black Stallion by Walter Farley), and even though I continued writing, I didn’t attempt another full-length novel until after I graduated college.

Whether reading or writing, I always find myself gravitating towards lush books with literary slants and hooky voices, and every story idea I seem to get is spritzed with magic, so fantasy is my thing, especially in the Young Adult category.

Pitch Wars is a mentoring organization where established writers and publishing professionals help emerging writers edit their book and prepare for traditional publishing success. As a long time fan of the community, guidance, and invaluable education Pitch Wars offers, I was thrilled to mentor YA in 2018 with my close friend and CP, Kim Chance. To learn everything there is to know about this program, visit pitchwars.org.
