When it comes to studying craft, podcasts are one of my go-to resources. They're a goldmine of information and inspiration, and I can always count on a good podcast episode to leave me with a clearer head, and ready to tackle my next writing hurdle.
So, here are some of my favorites… Give them a listen the next time you're in the car, on the metro, at work, or even working out. Your muse will thank you!

UpvoteYA
Listen: iTunes
Why I love it: This is one the newer podcasts I’ve tried, and I’m really enjoying it! UpvoteYA is hosted by four Young Adult writers: Alexa Donna, Kristine Kim, Phil Stamper, and Josh Hlibichuk, and they’re all super knowledgeable and passionate about craft and industry. Recent topics include things like: querying, POV, and worldbuilg.
Best feature: Completely focused on Young Adult fiction.

PubCrawl Podcast
Listen: iTunes
Why I love it: The PubCrawl podcast is a must! It's hosted by S. Jae-Jones, author of Wintersong, and Kelly Van Sant, a literary agent at D4EO, and it is the mother lode of all things writing! Kelly and JJ talk in-depth about craft, but they also discuss the business side, as Kelly is a publishing contracts expert, and JJ is a former YA fiction editor.
Best feature: Basically invaluable. TONS of info on craft and the publishing industry.

Writing Excuses
Listen: iTunes
Why I love it: Writing Excuses is the first writing podcast I ever listened to and it's still a favorite. Hosted by Dan Wells, Brandon Sanderson, Howard Tayler, and Mary Robinette Kowal, Writing Excuses is in it's twelfth season, so there's a lot to binge on if you're a new listener! Their tagline is "fifteen minutes long, because you're in a hurry, and we're not that smart", but it's a lie because they're super smart. Season 10 was titled the 'Master Class' season, and that's how I feel when I'm listening to Writing Excuses--like I'm sitting in on a master class.
Best feature: Episodes are short, so they're perfect if you don't have much time!
